Kel’danis Darkstar is a first year constable in Silvermoon City trying to prove himself to his superiors. Focused solely on trying to police the shady sides of town and forget the past. Trying not to follow in his Father’s footsteps Kel’danis does his best to prove himself by investigating a series of kidnappings. His trail leads him all over the darker parts of Silvermoon.
Filipe Brightsong clawed his way from the bottom of society and escaped a dangerous cult to save himself and his infant son. Being a Thistle Dealer isn’t ideal but it’s better than being homeless and hiding from people who want him dead. When a city constable tracks him down, Filipe is shocked he’s not arrested and even more shocked when the constable offers him a deal- help him find who’s responsible for the kidnappings and he’ll help him find a better way to provide for himself and his son. It helps him trust Kel’danis enough to accept his offer.
As they start getting closer to the truth, the feelings between them grow more apparent and they can’t deny their connection. Trust is no longer in Kel’danis’s nature but he can’t deny his connection to Filipe. Filipe never thought he’d want to date again but just as the feelings and tension between them reach a fever pitch Filipe’s son is taken.
