Last Rites, I
Oh Light, my brother,
Thy child has fallen.
Their soul consumed by darkness.
Their body claimed by the earth.
Their spirit wandering in shadows.
Light, I humbly ask of you,
Protect thy child,
Shield them from the darkness,
Lighten their path,
And show them the way to thy eternal embrace.
Last Rites, II (Good for quick rites)
Child, walk swift now,
For the shadows lurk to claim thy soul.
Child, do not look back,
For the world you have left behind is not yours any longer.
Child, seek out the Light,
For it’s eternal embrace welcomes you.
Do not stray.
Last Rites, III
Light, saviour of souls,
I humbly ask for your child’s forgiveness.
May you guide their soul to your home.
May you forgive them for their sins.
May you grant your mercy on their souls.
And may your judgement be mild.
We send now, our fellow servant,
Onto the path which only you can guide,
The road through shadow and darkness.
To your well deserved rest
