Come, so that I may teach you about secrets hidden
Hidden from the weak of mind, the bright of day
For there exists power untold and boundless
Whose extend no sentient has fully uncovered
In which the shadows whisper
Forgotten by the Light, it is for the strong to take.
You are the shadows
Never born, simply is.
Shadows in the beginning, in the present, in eternity
Now and always
The Shadows are the same and will not end
Their secrets are endless
And their domain will never fall
They give power to those strong enough to take it
They give strength that never fails
The magnificence of the shadows will not be ruined
Their splendor will never dull
The shadows are present, past, and future.
Ancient shadows, wise shadows. Take all that had to end, all that will disappear and die with you into the darkness. In their absence bring me peace, bring me stillness. As the dawn comes and you fade find refuge within me.
I call on you shadows
I invoke darkness and subtle destruction
On those that have wronged me and those who seek to do me harm.
My mentor, the priest that taught me the Light, was a human man whose body has become one with the earth and his spirit has left us. He did not follow the traditional human Church of the Light. He taught me of a different branch of the Light. As I grew I learned, I thought, I pondered and spent much time browsing over texts. My mentor told me a story of how the world began and how Belore was born.
In the beginning there was only void and shadow
And in that deep dark there was only silence
No life, no warmth, nothing came from the whispering dark
But there came from the void a soft sigh that echoed forth into creation
And thus the void and shadow began to shift
Light came into existence
It moved, it turned, it twisted
It made a shape
The void recoiled, pulling away as Light spilled forth into creation
As the Light made shape it became the sun
And the sun beheld the void
A soft cry filled the void
Belore’s voice rang out through creation as she spoke
That word echoed
It became azeroth, the earth under out feet, the rocks in the ground
And so it was that Belore made Azeroth
But Azeroth was dark and barren
Belore called out but was met with silence
She wept in her loneliness
Her tears became the seas and rivers and lakes
Azeroth spun before her in all of it’s radiance
But try as she might Belore could surrond Azeroth entirely with her radiance
Within the void another sigh echoed
Silvery light broke forth and from the void came the moon
Belore rejoiced and held hands with Elune
They sighed happily
The sigh became a song of creation
Of earth and sea
Land and sky
Belore danced across the sky
And has done so from that day until now.
I call on you Belore
Sun God and Burning Flame
Magic Giver and Sky Dancer
Give me the strength to adapt to what is around me
To withstand the tough times ahead
Ignite a fire in my soul
Remind me that life is not easy
That I may not grow complacent and weak
Gift me your fire Belore
So that as I leave this place
I can use it to accomplish my goals
I call on you Belore
Guide me with your Light
Lead me home
Grant me your
And if I die before I go home
Wrap me in your burning embrace
That I might never know the cold again
Blazing Belore, Goddess of the Sun
Sky Goddess
Mother of Phoenixes
Goddess of Magic
I call to you from the fire
Praying that you, oh kind Mother
Will deign to give me your blessing
Oh radiant goddess of the blazing sun.
Belore, I present to you this child
May you protect them
With your magic and your sacred fire
Hold them and comfort them bright Belore
And may all of your blessings be upon my child.
The sun rises in the sky as the night flees
Once again Belore has returned to us
Reborn once again
Bear witness to the sun rising
To Belore’s ascent as he rises up in the sky
And then descends
Dying when the night comes
And returning to us in the morning like a phoenix.
Watch Belore, feel his warmth
Know that your soul is cleansed
And you have survived another night
“May Belore rise up in the sky to shine upon you
May the earth rise up to meet you.
May the Goddesses breath be at your back.
And the rain fall softly upon you.
And until we meet again
May Belore hold you safely in her arms.
Belore, I pray for peace
May the wind bring your voice to me
So that the sound of your voice may grant me peace
As you fade into the horizon
May the light you give the stars and moon watch over me
And may the sound of your laughter on the waves bring me sleep
Do not judge and you will not be judged Do not condemn and you will not be condemned, Forgive and you will be forgiven.
If you can feel nothing for another’s misery Then Sin’dorei is no name for you.
Divine Light Bright Light Warm Light Sacred Light Holy Light Bless us with peace In our self and beyond.
I will not pray to Belore to be sheltered from dangers But instead to face them without fear I will not pray for Belore to ask my pain be numbed and removed But to show me the error of my ways so I may grow I will not pray to Belore to take all my troubles from me For such is life and to go through life without trouble is to be untested I will not pray to Belore to save me in anxious fear Is not not cowardice to face an enemy without fear Belore, burn away my impurities and come victory or failure let me feel the touch of your fires in my soul.
As you leave this place May Belore go with you. May her sunlight fall down on you, to encourage you Above you from the sky, to lift you from your sorrows May Belore’s sunlight and fire give you the strength you need to carry and lift your burdens And to always light your path and show you the way.
We followed his on his journey singing On a bird made of fire From which fire trailed behind We rose so high in the sky we saw stars. We did not know then what we knew now That we would return home alone
Hear my cry Belore Listen to my Prayer From the darkest depths, the ends of Azeroth I call to you I call as my heartbeat grows faint Guide me with your light to safety For you have been my shelter My strength against my foes I long to dwell in your light forever In the land that knows no winter.
Divine fire from the sun Brightly burning phoenix Born to live but for a moment Only to find death And reborn again like the sun
Hail to Belore the sun Goddess! Hail, to you Sin’dorei! Hail to to the White Moon and the Blue Child! With watchful eyes look over us See to our safety Hail to you Belore, Hail to you Gods of the sea! Hail, to the Sunwell that gives to us all! Goodly warmth and spells from us to you And healing hands in this life.
To Belore, The Eternal Flame To Belore, The Unsurpassable Mage To Belore, Mother of Phoenixes To Belore, the source of my comfort, I make this offering
I am the sun ripened grain, offered up to the scythe
So that all may be nourished
Without planting there will be no harvest
Without me there would be no spring
I am the God and Goddess of Thousands of names
But know that by all names I am the same
The freedom of the forest, the cycle of harvest
Look to my yearly cycle of my birth, death, and rebirth
And know that such is the destiny of creation
I am Belore, the Sun God. The Radiant Sun, giver of Light and Warmth.
Listen to the words of the Sun, who was called a thousand names before you knew him and will be known by thousands of names after you’ve known him. I am Belore.
My Light is what gives strength to all creation. Mine is the secret of life. Mine is the forests of Quel’thals that will never again see winter. I give knowledge of life, the arcane, and beyond death I will hold you close.
I am the sacrifice; the soldier that falls in battle, the Farstrider that watches from the trees, the mage guarding the Sunwell, the lynx padding through the forest. Hear the words of the Sun God Belore, the music of whose laughter is heard in the wind and through his grace no winter touches Quel’thalas. I am the Lord of the Hunt and the lightbringer, the sun among the clouds, and the father of all phoenixes. For I am the flesh of Quel’thalas and all of my people.
Let my worship be in the flickering fires of your hearth and mage light, in the words that you sing, all acts of willing sacrifice are my rituals. Do not surpress desire and fear, anger and weakness, peace and joy, awe and longing within you. These are part of the mysteries found within yourself and in me. Behold, I am that which has been with you since the beginning and that which at attained at the end of desire.
I sing this prayer to the Sun
The Mother of Phoenixes
To her wild, burning, feminine dance
To her who is born in the winter and reborn in the spring
To the light she gives us all to guide our path
Belore
Let my arrows always strike true
Fill me with your strength
That I might never fall at my post
So i can travel far and rest easy
Dance beneath the trees and be on with the forest
And drink deep of all that is set before me
Listen!
The Sun Goddess Speaks
“I am the fire in your spirit,
The yearning in your soul
The love that warms your heart
I am the mystery hidden in plain sight
And the seeker of the phoenix flame;
I stand and chase the dark away
I am the Light of creation
I am Goddess and God, I am Mother and Father of Phoenixes
I am the fire you adore, call to me…”
Bright Belore, the sun
Whose fire will not be tamed
Those that attempt to tarnish you
Do not realize the futility of their actions
Fill me with your fire and strength
I will bow to none
Above all I will stand
Fill me with your fire Belore
That i may find my own destiny and rise above.
Bright and fiery arrow!
Blaze kindly into my life
God of the Eternal Spring
Grow ever more verdant and lush
Lord of Poetry and Magic
Dance on my tongue like arcane sparks on my hands
Guardian of the Runestones and the Sunwell
Grant me your blessing and sate my thirst
Thank you, Exalted One, for your light and and nourishment.
Do not judge and you will not be judged Do not condemn and you will not be condemned, Forgive and you will be forgiven.
