Initiation into the Silver Hand
Priest:
“In the light we gather to empower our brother. In it’s grace he will be made anew. In it’s power he shall educate the masses. In its strength he shall combat the shadow. And in it’s wisdom, he shall lead his brethren to the eternal rewards of paradise.”
The Priest will turn to the gathered priesthood on his right.
“Priests and priestess of the Light, if you deem this man worthy, place your blessings upon him.”
Priesthood Cleric:
The cleric approaches the initiate and places the cloak upon him and return to their place.
“By the grace of the Light, may your brethren be healed.”
Priest:
The priest will turn to the gathered of the Silver Hand on his left.
“Knights of the Silver Hand, if you deem this man worthy, place your blessings upon him.”
Knights:
Two representatives of the silver hand step forwards. “By the strength of the Light, may your enemies be undone.”
Priest:
The priest turns back to the initiate and lifts his hands to motion for the initiate to rise.
“Rise and be recognised.”
Initiate:
The initiate rises..
Priest:
“Do you [initiates full name with no titles] vow to uphold the honour and codes of the Order of the Silver Hand?”
Initiate:
“I do.”
Priest:
“Do you vow to walk in the grace of the Light and spread it’s wisdom to your fellow man?”
Initiate:
“I do.”
Priest:
“Do you vow to vanquish evil wherever it be found, and protect the innocent with your very life?”
Initiate:
“By my blood and honour, I do.”
Priest:
“Brothers and sisters, you who have gathered here to bear witness, raise your hands and let the light illuminate this man.”
Priesthood and Knights:
Send rays of golden light that cast down on the initiate and infuse him with a constant glow for a short time.
Priest:
After the Knights and Priesthood finish
“[Initiates full name with no titles], Paladin defender of the Alliance, Welcome to the Order of the Silver Hand.”
